This one's for you Mick. I do enjoy my music. I loved working in the music store in college...

So my question to all of you is~ What 5 cd's would you take to a remote island (not much feeling like saying a coffin with my life these days) with you???

For me it's tough--

  1. 1. Journey-- Frontiers
  2. 2. James Taylor's-- Greatest Hits
  3. 3. Brooks and Dunn-- Greatest Hits
  4. 4. Nine Inch Nails -- Pretty Hate Machine
  5. This is my toughest decision!!!! ( Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, Def Leppard, Louis Armstrong, Sugarland, Depeche Mode and Duran Duran all fight for this last coveted spot.

Without question, my first choise would be:
Def Leppards Hysteria.
Then Guns'N'Roses greatest hits
Queens greatest hits.
DC Talk - Jesus Freaks.
Mercy Me - Almost there.
I would really, REALLY hope that Hillsong Australia had bought out a Greatest hits CD before i had to set sail for that island. That would replace Mercy Me.

I would be very happy with those albums :o)

P.S. Friends with benefits can give you the warm fuzzies and the confidence to add other relationships and make them work. Although it's hard if you let your FWB get too much into your heart so be careful there. That can really screw ya up.

(Okay, if you see a Janet post that's been removed, that's me. That's my first name. Some folks call me J, Jan, Janet, Rach, Rachel. I don't know who the hell I am. But I post/blog under Rachel.)

Wow - see, I like music but I LOVE comedies. So, my DVD collection is like your CD collection. But since you said which music would I take...

Let's see - Travis Tritt, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Big N Rich and Blake Shelton. No dumbass liberal idiot head Dixie Chicks and don't dare try and bring them nor their CD onto MY desserted island. I'd have to thrown them into the ocean to live with the fishes along with Chris Noth (insert evil Rachel chuckle here).

Yeah - it's morning time and I'm meanest in the mornings....

CF guess you are a rocker!! I was always CRAZY about Joe Elliot. I have seen Def 5or 6 times. I never got to meet him and that infuriated me~ *sigh*

Rachel- I know you are wight on the heart strings issue. I do get attached. He and I spent lots of evening together over the summer. Then he upset me...so I didn't talk to him for 5 months. "Looking back on the memories of ...." who's the country artist?
Right now, I have sooo much crappy stress in my life...I just need that closeness and contentment. Greg is an Ass and I need to leave him alone. AT least with "A" I know exactly where we stand.

As for your musical stuff...not a Toby fan. I think Blake is good looking. I like and have seen Travis and Kenny. SO you get my approval on those~

I glad you had some fun with your benefits friend, we all need a good time occasionally.

Five CD's thats tough I change what I listen to all the time so need to vary my choice somewhat.
Assuming we are not going for compilation CD's this is what I've come up with.
I do think with only five its a must to look at greatest hits albums.

1. I'll need at least one womens voice and my first thoughts were to go for Blondie but then I changed my mind and decided on "The Pretenders Greatest Hits". I always liked a couple of Chrissie Hyndes songs but until I bought this album didn't realise how many they had done.

2. I'll have to put in a Blues album for when the mood suits and I'll go for Eric Clapton "From the Cradle". Best Blues album ever.

3. A bit faster stuff its got to be the one I reviewed prior to Christmas - Eddie and the Hot Rods "The End of the Beginning" Fantastic stuff.

4. I've always been a big Paul Weller Fan but didn't know whether to go for one of his solo albums or with his former groups The Jam or The Style Council. I then remembered he has a new album out covering all his career called "Catch Flame" so thats what I would take. I have not got it cos I've all the songs on his other albums.

5. Easy this one Rolling Stones Forty Licks. All the hits from this superb group.

Gee wish I could choose more than 5 though.
