Mother nature

We had over 20 tornadoes touch down in my city Thursday night.
I am lucky and so are my friends and family that I have spoken too.

Well....my last few days have been eventful. My city had a couple of tornados touch down Thursday late evening. One hit a just a couple of miles near my house. The lady 3 doors down had her windows blows out of her SUV. I spent an hour or so in my hall bathroom with my kitties. I have never heard wind that strong and severe. I was scared. Several businesses here were ruined, or felt severe damage. I was out of power alomst 15 hours. I got cable back just a few hours ago...and internet about 3 hours ago. It's been a rough couple of days.

The city closed the schools for us on Friday. Streets and subdivisions were blocked off in an attempt to help those in need and keep sight seers off the help routes.

Needless to say I didn't go anywhere out of town. I went out to dinner with T and Jeff & Sharon. A joined us for a few drinks. He just left. I don't usually get mixed feelings with him, But I am sure feeling them right now. Which is probably why I am on here and not still in bed. You know we all do stupid things in life....but i am started to feel like this has to be the dumbest thing I have done since moving to Ga. I'm feeling really emotional right now. ..and I don't get that way with him. At least, I haven't let myself before.......... so why now?

To be honest, I know this sounds really sick but I LOVE Tornados!! I am weather mad, especially storms, floods, cyclones and tornados.
I might acutally post a funnel here in Australia for people who don't think we have them here! We obviously have alot fewer than you guys, and the ones we do have are in isolated areas with no populated areas.
I think they are just so exciting, an in another life, if I didn't have kids, I'd definately be a storm chaser.
I am looking forward to getting to know you Bec, you are the first American I have met here!

It must have been awful for you, I'd be scared out of my wits as we don't get anything like that here in Sydney. Glad you are alright and escaped the damage.

We had the tornadoes on Thursday afternoon/night, girl. Three over me - that didn't touch down, thank goodness. The one that did in south Alabama hit a high school.

Well, make sure you're not transferring the fright from the storm to A. Or hormones (God knows they can affect a woman more than we like to admit.) But if you have to, cut off the physical contact with A and just talk or email until it passes because it isn't fair to you, you know?

I am pleased you have got through the Tornados unscathed.

I hope you find a soulmate soon you'll be a great catch when Mr Right comes along.

Since I became a mother and a home owner, I do not like tornados. I am not much of a worrier, but when the skies darken and the treat of tornados is here, I fret like none other..good thing Im good at hiding it.

I was beginning to worry about you and send off an email. I am glad you are okay. SCARY. your home wasnt damaged? were you in many hurricanes when you lived way down south?

A., I do not know enough to comment about the whole situation except you need to look out for #1, YOU.

Lord, the destruction! Just like earlier last month a few miles from here.

Girl, you were in my thoughts and prayers, as were all the people in harms way. I am so glad you are safe. D :)

I am glad you are all right, but it's been a terrible spring all ready. I hope everyone recovers and is able to rebuild their lives.
