I heard "Our Lips are Sealed" on the radio this morning and I can't get it out of my head.

Lazy, that's me. I took this weekend and only did a few things that are worthy of mentioning. I changed sheets, did laundry, took out trash, and paid bills.
I am trying to make myself get started on a PowerPoint presentation and I am totally not motivated. I have several projects for my night class and I can't seem to want to start to put my brain in gear~
I got some really bad news the end of last week and I have been really sad about it. Tigger is my 20 yr old kitty that is at my parents house. He was named after John Taylor the bassist in Duran Duran. He has been the coolest kitty in the world. He has had a tough time with arthritis in the last 2 years. The vet has tried some meds and its helped some. Well, he went for his annual last week along with Boris his best playmate who is 16. Tigger has muscle cancer. Hi has a cyst that has developed on his tail bone. The doc said with his age, that surgery probably isn't an option. Boris has lost 6 pounds in the last year, he looks really ill. The vet did blood work on him and thinks he has a thyroid problem. If that turns out the be the case he may have 6 months.

I took these pictures when I was home for Linda's wedding a month or so ago. Please pray for my man. He has the sweetest disposition and such a way with people.

I feel like a damn cow today.

"Flo" is here visiting for starters....

Ok, I had my aunt over here last night she wanted to type some stuff for a family reunion in a week. She doesn't know her way around Microsoft Word, so she comes here for help. Well, I was attempting to change a vacuum bag out last night and she came in to help...so she decides as I am sitting on the floor and rummaging through a box of stuff...to flip the switch for the vacuum. Well EVERYTHING flies out as I have the bag 1/2 way off...I have the worst head ache sinus ache known to man today.

Second, I don't dream frequently but i woke up SCREAMING this morning at 4 a.m. from a dream. It was awful.

Third, I woke up twice with a charlie horse in my calf twice..apparently before and after the dream. I got up at 8a.m. and ate a banana, knowing the potassium is supposed to help. I have another for tomorrow morning......Any other suggestions from those of you who had had a cramp in the calf???My leg is so sore today.

I got up and got out of the house hoping to get my mind off of things...my head ache my weary body from lack of GOOD sleep and a ache in my calf. I went all over! Target, Lazy-Boy, Rooms to GO, Ashley Furniture, and Big lots. I bought a new coffee table and end pieces from Ashley.

I have a 4th bedroom that I call the Cat room...as I use it for storage, kitty stuff, a bike and my treadmill. I am probably getting a cat door installed tomorrow from my laundry area to my garage so kitties can eat and dump out there..My only concern is when I leave in a morning and my garage door opens. My kitties are inside kitties.....a fear of one of them getting out and getting hurt. IDEAS?????

Sleepy Sleepy Yes I am! Mondays are soooooooooo long for me. I have work from 8-5 (we have Monday meetings) and then I have class at the college from 5-9. Can I tell you *YAWN* is all you will be getting out of me???
I am dealing with a co-worker who I really like but is REALLY pissed off at the administration. I can't blame her, for how she is feeling. On the other hand, I have tried to make things better for her, but so much of it is out of my hands. I mean REALLY out of my hands. Any suggestions?
I want to be a kitty cat. I want to be one of my cats!
I AM STILL WAITING ON RECIPES! WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST HIT, APPETIZER, SALAD OR MAIN COURSE????

It's Sunday. I was good this morning by doing laundry, dishes and fixing two meals for the week. I also spent 2 hours reading college stuff. I changed sheets and took a nap!

*A* came over last night. We had a lot of fun. I needed it and he did too.

It is going to be a LONG week for me. MEOW. I have meetings each night this week after work. Can you see my SAD face?

I didn't spend any money this weekend! Yeah me!! I need to get caught up after buying this TV set.
Tomorrow, Monday is my 10 year anniversary with Destiny (my sweet, love able, kind, gentle Kitty I rescued from the New Orleans Humane Society. He was the one that was abused and wouldn't eat anything except Lamb or Veal Gerber baby food for his first year with me. He'd only eat it if I painted it on his side, and would lick it off. he was approximately 2 when I got him. My prayers have worked though...he's on to Fancy Feast and sometimes Meow Mix Outdoor. I love him soooooooo much!!!!!
May our Moday go quickly, may we find love in uncanny places and sleep soundly to visions of sugarplums!

MY HEAD HURTS!!! When I woke up this morning, my eyes hurt! I mean right around my sinus...my eyes feel swollen...and puffy.

The day was ok. One of our students really made our science teacher MAD. Yep, the real winner usually start acting out right about now. I gave out my first detention of the year today.

I had my buddy B come over and help me unhook ALL the freaking wires I was counting on Direct TV to fix last weekend. I called the local cable co and told them they would have their boxes Sat. Well, it's now Thurs, so they will get them today. He helped me unplug them and set up shop so to speak. Then I had a hair appointment with Rodney. He cut off several inches....it's a big deal to me but not to other people. I just don't think I will ever be able to have my hair above my shoulders. I just don't think I have it in me.

My kitty Destiny is up on my computer desk as I am typing this butting me in the head for *lots of love* He is so incredibly awesome.

Ok Tylenol here I come....tomorrow I will have a bitch session. Bridezilla.

HUGS!!! and yeah and Kitty Kisses from Destiny~

Yep, this will be me and one of my kitties, very shortly.
I had a long day. Ran errands, and still fell as though nothing was accomplished. I have tons of housework to do...and damn...I don't wanna!
I went back to the beauty school and had what they call reflexology. They work on your hands and feet. You have pressure point and these massage techniques are supposed to make your "inner" body parts function more productively.
After that I went back to Rodney and had him shampoo and style my hair. I just felt like it! He only charged me 20 bucks. = )
Tomorrow, I will force myself to 3 loads of laundry, and dishes and changing linens.
No news on Romeo--ok well I got his last name. I have a couple of people working on it. But, I'm sure I am getting my hopes up and he'll be a total retard or an ass....
I'm going to bed so that I might be 40% productive tomorrow. I have lots on my mind tonight~ I may share tomorrow.

Let me introduce to you........
TIGGER
He is 20 years old in human years. I have had him since early high school. Bless his heart he has awful arthritis, but is the *COOLEST* kitty in the world. He's at my parents house in Louisiana.
I miss him.
I took this this month.
I spent all of Tuesday at work, moving from one room to another, as the custodial staff attempted to wax the hall way. I went to school Monday and stayed an hour, they asked me to come back the next day as they would be finished....they asked me to come back an hour after I got their Tuesday....I simply said no. Well after they ran me off Monday....I decided to treat myself to a $13.00 facial. I went to the local beauty school. A new girl did my facial...and I will hunt her down when she gets her own salon. She spent 2 hours on me. I went home when she was finished..and slept for 4 hours...this is at 5:00 oclock inthe afternoon--mind you. OMG was she good.
I will see her again next week maybe Friday if I go back to New Olreans early in the week..I am supposed to try reflexology tomorrow afternoon with her. I have never had it....but apparently it works on pressure points in your hands and feet to regulate or attend to any internal problems you may be having.
I look at it this way, the expensive salon wanted 90.00 for their European Facial. I paid 13.oo, certainly I can go for another and a massage and still have 40 bucks left over to fill my car with gas... I can be thrifty~ I'm not crazy about it...But yes, I'm not high maintenance ALL of the TIME.

the gas chamber

My oldest kitty here in Ga. I swear he can read my mind sometimes....He snuggled up under my arm...put his head half way on my pillow and the other half he nudged up into the palm of my hand and slept for two hours. I am beginning to think he's just my angel on this earth!!!

I was up LATE last night watching a John Grisham book turned movie with Gene Hackman. After the guard asked him...now I am asking my blogger buddies.

If you were sentenced to death....what would you want/request for your last meal?

This is my baby Whisper. I think she's purty! She is the loner of the three...but Destiny and Harmony have been together for 8 yrs now..Whisper has beeen with us almost 2yrs. Harmony is very territorial, and like to back this baby into a corner.

Ya'll I am scratching like I have fleas! SCREAM and SCREAM again. It's just a red bumpy flare up on both of my arms. I just bathed in some Hibiclens (Doc approved bacterial wash--surgeons use it before they operate) My aunt gave me some Lanacane after school, it had a soothing effect. No, I didn;t get anything working in the yard (No green thumb here). A co-worker suggested maybe I ate something, another siad maybe it was stress. Good lord, I feel like I have hives or something. It feels bumpier than it looks) Another co worker said take an oatmeal bath.

WHAT CAN I DO????

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center Releases List of Top 10 Hazards Encountered by Pets in 2006

New List Reveals Significant Increase in Calls Pertaining to Common Household Items
ASPCA Media Contact
March 5, 2007—The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) today announced that it managed more than 116,000 calls to its Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) hotline in 2006, several of which pertained to common household items. “While the reason is not clear, calls in virtually each of these categories seems to be on the rise,” said Dr. Steven Hansen, veterinary toxicologist and senior vice president with the ASPCA, who manages the ASPCA’s Midwest Office, which houses the APCC. As National Poison Prevention Week approaches (March 18-24), the ASPCA advises pet parents to stay alert to the possibility of poisoning from these common household items:
1. Human Medications: For several years now, this category has been number one on the ASPCA’s list of common hazards, and 2006 was no exception. Last year, more than 78,000 calls involving common human drugs such as painkillers, cold medications, antidepressants and dietary supplements were managed by the Center—a 69 percent increase over 2005. “Pet parents should never give their pet any medication without the direction of a veterinarianjust one extra-strength acetaminophen can be deadly to a cat, and just four regular-strength ibuprofen can lead to serious kidney problems in a 10-pound dog,” says Dr. Hansen. To avoid inadvertent poisoning from medications, store them in a secure cabinet above the counter and out of the reach of pets.
2. Insecticides: The APCC handled more than 27,000 cases pertaining to products used to kill fleas, ticks and other insects in 2006, up more than 28 percent from 2005. According to Dr. Hansen, “A key factor in the safe use of products that eliminate fleas, ticks and other pesky bugs, is reading and following label instructions exactly. Some species of animals can be particularly sensitive to certain types of insecticides, so it is vital that you never use any product not specifically formulated for your pet.” It is also a good idea to consult with your pet’s veterinarian before beginning any flea and tick control program.
3. Veterinary Medications: Surprising as it may seem, last year the APCC managed more than 12,000 cases involving animal-related preparations such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, heartworm preventatives, de-wormers, antibiotics, vaccines and nutritional supplements—a 93 percent hike in volume. “Although these products are formulated for use in pets, it is very important to always read and follow label directions for use exactly,” says Dr. Hansen. “As with flea and tick preparations, many medications are intended for use in certain species only, and potentially serious problems could result if given to the wrong animal or at too high a dose.”
4. Plants: The number of cases involving plants also shot up by more than 111 percent in 2006 to more than 9,300. Some varieties that can be harmful to pets include lilies, azalea, rhododendron, sago palm, kalanchoe and schefflera. ”Just one or two sago palm nuts can cause vomiting, diarrhea, depression, seizures and even liver failure,” says Dr. Hansen. “Also, lilies are highly toxic to cats—even in small amounts they can produce life-threatening kidney failure.” While poisonous plants should certainly be kept away from pets, it is also a good idea to discourage animals from nibbling on any variety of plant, as even non-toxic plants can lead to minor stomach upset.
5. Rodenticides: Last year, approximately 8,800 calls about rat and mouse poisons were received by the APCC, representing an increase of more than 27 percent over 2005. Depending on the type of rodenticide, ingestions can lead to potentially life-threatening problems for pets including bleeding, seizures or even damage to the kidneys or other vital organs. “Should pet owners opt to use a rodenticide around their home, they should make sure that the bait is placed only in areas completely inaccessible to their animals,” says Dr. Hansen.
6. Household Cleaners: In 2006, approximately 7,200 calls pertaining to cleaning agents such as bleaches, detergents and disinfectants were received—up 38 percent from the year before. Says Dr. Hansen, “Depending on the circumstances of exposure, some household cleaners can lead to gastrointestinal irritation or even severe oral burns for pets.” Additionally, irritation to the respiratory tract may be possible if a product is inhaled. “All household cleaners and other chemicals should be stored in a secure location well out of the reach of pets,” recommends Dr. Hansen, “and when cleaning your pet’s food and water bowls, crate or other habitat, a mild soap such as a hand dishwashing detergent along with hot water is a good choice over products containing potentially harsh chemicals.”
7. Chocolate: Always a common food-related call, more than 4,800 chocolate calls were received by the APCC last year, an 85 percent increase from 2005. Depending on the variety, chocolate can contain large amounts of fat and caffeine-like substances known as methylxanthines, which, if ingested in significant amounts, could potentially cause vomiting, diarrhea, panting, excessive thirst and urination, hyperactivity. In severe cases, abnormal heart rhythm, tremors and seizures have been noted—and it could even be fatal. “Typically, the darker the chocolate, the greater the potential for poisoning,” says Dr. Hansen. “Baking chocolate contains the highest amount of methylxanthines, and just two ounces could cause serious problems for a 10-pound dog.”
8. Chemical Hazards: A newcomer to the top 10 category, this includes such harmful items as volatile petroleum-based products, alcohols, acids, and gases. In 2006, the APCC received more than 4,100 calls related to chemical hazards—an astronomical jump in call volume of more than 300 percent. “Substances in this group can cause a wide variety of problems,” Dr. Hansen explains, “ranging from gastrointestinal upset and depression to respiratory difficulties and chemical burns.” Commonly-used chemicals you should keep your pets away from include ethylene glycol antifreeze, paint thinner, drain cleaners and pool/spa chemicals.
9. Physical Hazards: While not necessarily all toxic, items in this group consists of objects that could pose a choking hazard, risk for intestinal obstruction, or other physical injury, and in 2006, the number of physical hazard calls grew a staggering 460 percent to over 3,800. “We’ve managed cases involving the ingestion of several common objects—from pet collars and adhesive tape to bones, paper products and other similar items,” says Dr. Hansen. “It is important to make sure that items which could be easily knocked over, broken, chewed up or swallowed are kept out of the reach of curious pets.”
10. Home Improvement Products: In 2006, approximately 2,100 cases involving paint, solvents, expanding glues and other products commonly used in construction were managed by the APCC—up 17 percent from 2005. While the majority of water-based paints are low in toxic potential, they can still cause stomach upset, and artist paints sometimes contain heavy metals that could be poisonous if consumed in large quantities. In addition, solvents can be very irritating to the gastrointestinal tract, eyes and skin, and could also produce central nervous system depression if ingested, or pneumonia if inhaled. “Prevention is really key to avoiding problems from accidental exposures to these substances,” says Dr. Hansen. “Pet parents should keep pets out of areas where home improvement projects are taking place, and of course label directions should always be followed when using any product.”

Only WED>?????

Well, it's Wed night and I didn't call in for tomorrow. So, I guess I need to try and make myself presentable. I actually went to my mailbox and took out my garbage can this afternoon. There is only so long I can stay locked up in my house.

Well, a neighbors kitty has been coming to my glass plate next to my front door and fussing with Whisper, my youngest kitty. The kitty was outside when I opened my garage door. She came up to me as I was coming back from the mail box. Naturally, me the kitty fan---I pick her up and love on her a bit. Black and white kitty, very thin. I decide, I will keep her in my garage while I get her some dry and wet food with water. I am holding her as I hit my automatic garage door open/closer...She freaks out claws me in the face, under my left eye and nose. All I felt was OUCH! and saw blood. She ran like demon possession out of the garage. I spent the next 30 minutes, with a wash cloth, alcohol and q-tips.

Why am I here I keep asking GOD???????

This is totally how I felt this morning as I hit snooze 20 times. I swore I would remeber that feeling as it got early evening...Well it's 9:15 and I am going to get in bed and read within the next 30 minutes....
Today went somewhat pain free except I was worried about Mom and Olivia. (Teatopia.net) Her G'ma told me she was burning up with fever when I inquired today. I know her mommy is worried and happy to get to the doc today.
I hope good news and she was just beginning one of our "hot flash" sessions, at an early age.
Does any cat lady here, have one of her babies throw up for reasons other than a hair ball???? Send me your experiences, please.
I am due for some papmering (nails, toes) but unfortunately, I have bills that keep telling me they are due FIRST.... *sigh*
I am eagerly awaiting my last 6 episodes of the SOPRANOS. I am wondering if Tony will be knocked off....or the whole family in one trip???? It's bad enough I have to watch reruns of Sex & the City...Now they are taking Tony too.....

Kitties

Does Your Cat Own You?
Do you select your friends based on how well your cats like them?
Does your desire to collect cats intensify during times of stress?
Do you buy more than 50 pounds of cat litter a month?

Do you admit to non-cat owners how many cats you really have?
Do you sleep in the same position all night because it annoys your cats when you move?
Do you kiss your cat on the whiskers?

Does your cat sleep on your head?
Do you like it?

Do you watch bad TV because the cat is sleeping on the remote?

Would you rather spend a night at home with your cat than go out on a bad date?

Do you put off making the bed until the cat gets up?
