It's 3:14 a.m.
I just hung up with my first true love. He and I have been in each others lives for 20 years this summer. We had an electric connection. He walked up to me at a concert at University of New Orleans and just kissed me. He didn't say hello, he just kissed me. We fell head over heels in love and will take that love with us to our graves.
He married about 9 years ago. He's content and has a beautiful daughter now.
Well, with my big day approaching we spent a few hours on the phone tonight. He is genuinely happy for me. Of course several of our friends are standing in the wedding. I sensed he felt a bit left out. He could be the life of the party. He has a great personality and blends well with all kinds of people.
I feel a bit of relief after talking to him. I have such fond memories of our years, our friends and the lust for life we shared. I am entering a new chapter in my life and have a real issue with change. It is typically something that I dread, I fight it and can be afraid of it.
Instead, he offers me new hope, a new segment of my life that should be embraced and cherished. He gives me his love, approval and best wishes.
I just needed to send God a thank you for the love he has sent me. I feel blessed.

10 days and I will be married!

OK...one of my best friends here she is singing a solo at the wed...We went to the church last night after work and met with the organist. We met him in the choir loft and he played me several songs for the prelude and or actual ceremony. The Church is large and the organ is renowned for it's ability and intensity. He played me the traditional wedding march and I thought my heart would JUMP out of my chest. Ya"ll hear me arranging things and stressing out...but not until yesterday did I feel like it was really happening. Geezeeeeee.

On a *happy* note~

R gave me red and white flowers last night when I got home(these are the colors of the wedding flowers). They are lovely. He was sweet.

This morning about an hour after I got to work...my department head had flowers delivered to work. They are a lovely mix of bright cheerful colors.

I go to my hairdresser this afternoon right after work...we have a brief faculty meeting to have our next year contracts passed out...

I have a killer headache. I took 3 tylenol in the last 2 hours...no relief yet. I know it's sinus stuff. All the people I work with have it. UGHHH

Ok, I need help for a friend we will call L. L has a lot of bad feelings towards her parents. She has always been the one to excel, but never gets the recognition she deserves. I mean NEVER. I think it causes problems for her in relationships. She sees herself as a failure with boyfriends, marriage and only holds on to her career. Is there anything I can do to build up her self esteem?

She seeks approval from family and will never get it. How can she cope?

I had yesterday off. I needed the rest. I did ALOT of school/ work.. I cleaned up some. Flo finally left me. Thank GOD!!!!

OK most of you know about my buddy T. He was like an older brother with whom I spent 2-3 days a week with---shopping and dining out. He found the love of his life over Fourth of July weekend. I have seen him twice since July. I was really hurt to begin with. My friend Angel said I was acting like a scorned lover...Well she called last night and left me a few messages on my cell phone. She says well I guess I have been kicked to the curb by you and T. She said she was so upset with T. He found out 10 days ago she might have to have surgery and he just called yesterday. He said he's just been busy. She said to me are you going to leave me too?
Why do people forget about their friends when they start a new relationship?I just don't understand.

On my mind today......
Feeling kinda *unsure* about things today. Nothing has changed, I am just wondering about the whole commitment issue.

OK FINALLY I added my pics to kodak easy share. I did have 293 of them. So I will slowly share them with ya'll over the next week or so...I mean I figured 300 of them you'd rather not have on one post...besides you need to see something in between all of my complaints RIGHT?????
This was my centerpiece for out luncheon last weekend. Fresh cut flower blooms, a few rocks and water. They were nice floating!

This was one of the place settings. I wish I had taken a good picture of my Goblets. They are crystal etched Fleur De Lis glasses. I found them at the hospital gift shop when my mom had surgery about 6 months ago.

Looking at this pic, I wished I had opened the blinds just a bit. Oh well.

One of the best parts was desert! A chocolate DOBERGE cake from New Orleans...Gambino's bakery.

Why does chocolate have to taste so damn good????

Ok now that I have that off of my chest. I am not a morning person. YUK.

My SAINTS finally won a game!!! WAHOOOOO!!!!!!! It was a good game against Seattle Seahawks~~~

The weekend went well. The luncheon was a hit. I have people asking for recipes! My Fleur De Lis Goblets (crystal etched ) were a hit...and my red beans, my brushetta shrimp any my tomato basil soup--it is so rich. Things went well, i got compliments on everything it seemed. The silver, my house, my wood floors, my decor and most importantly the food. I assure you no one left hungry! = )

Not to mention after all of that work my house is spotless, and I refuse to clean anything besides dishes and laundry for 2 weeks.

I took a few pics--not many but I will share sometime this week.

Luncheon for 6

Well, finally it is Friday!!! This has been a long and busy week for me! I am thankful it is finally almost over!! One of the teachers I work with has had a hard time adjusting to the new school. So her kids made her cards earlier in the week and today they are throwing her a surprise party. They brought chips, dip, ice cream, cupcakes and coca cola....They are going to get her in the bathroom to surprise her as they set up the room.

I am almost finished with planning my menu for tomorrow afternoons party at my house. I have 6 teachers coming over. Tell me what you think about food choices....

Appetizers:
Shrimp Brushetta ( Individual Garlic toast with Brushetta sauce, a fresh shrimp, and fresh basil)

Paula Deens Cucumber/Dill dip/dressing with pretzels

An assortment of cheese slices with crackers

Meal:
First off everyone gets Tomato Basil soup with Parmesan croutons and Asia go cheese sprinkled

Second, They get a choice between New Orleans Red Beans and Rice
OR
Chicken Ambassador--which is chicken stuffed with spinach and cream cheese along with a sweet potato casserole

Dessert: is a DOBERGE cake from New Orleans or a Vanilla creme filled Almond Croissant from New Orleans

Drinks: Red or white wine, tea or a mixed drink of choice.

Your comments REALLY ??? BE kind or not. I will not be insulted!!!

<-----------SEE my happy face as the weekend gets here!!! Fridays at 4:00 usually give me such a sense of WHEW! I have a day or two to get some peace and quiet....You know 6th graders can be a bit noisy??? Yes, it's a fact!!!!

It has been a busy last few days for me. I am wiped out!

I went to Atlanta last night and met "White Rose Boy". He has been traveling about as all of his blog readers know. Well, he spent the last week in Atlanta...and I drove up after work Friday.

He is a charming fella ,witty and easy to be with! It was well worth the trip.

I will give more details about our moments in a day or two.

Give the lord a quick shout out that he gets back to England safely on Monday morning!

{{{{hugs}}}} to you Sir Mick!

This is my lovable fella Destiny. He likes to hang around on my computer desk as I type. At least he keeps me company!
I am trying to make myself work on college shit. I have lots of reading to do before Monday night, and I just can't seem to get motivated! Scream.
The Direct TV man came this morning. He fixed things I HOPE! This guy was polite and courteous. He seemed to know what he was doing.
I did talk to a few friends and I will have a luncheon in early October when it cools off a bit. That was also a way I am going to try to motivate my lazy butt to get rid of junk I am started to accumulate. I have 3 boxes still from last weekend in my living room floor from Direct TV. I have 5 boxes in my computer room from the end of last school year that I haven't done anything productive with. I did spend an hour tearing up mail this morning. I have 2 boxes and 3 bags of stuff I need to pack and ship overseas for some of our Fort Benning Solders. See...everything I have to do is time consuming. I don't wanna!!!!!

I am just getting in from a birthday dinner with 5 friends. I am feeling a bit sad. My buddy T that has found love recently, really was my best buddy. There was NO romance involved with us. We just has this buddy relationship. We're both single, and enjoy dining out and shopping. So we spent 3 days a week doing things. Tonight was the second time I have seen him since Fourth of July/ His new love was there tonight. I like her and I want him to be happy, but damn do I miss just having him available to call. HE WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE! She has moved in completely. I'm not jealous, I just feel alone.

$$$$$$$$

Well, I went and had my hair high lighted and low lighted (copper w/ a few blonde streaks) with Rodney...my guy here at Hotlocks. His daughter has a very mild case of down syndrome, but my god can she massage your scalp!!! He styled my hair a new way and used new products...and I like....I know I won't be able to reproduce it.....But I might just go back and get a style and a shampoo for my birthday next month. He did tell me about a goddess who gives facials...I am going to get one before school starts. Her name is LORDESS~ She's at one of the most expensive spa's here...but you only live once!
Yep, it's countdown time. I have 2 weeks until I'm back at work. *HISS*
I went to Yankee Candle today and bought a new scent Creme Brulee' Yummy to my tummy and my bedroom!
I also went to Dillards and bought my Lancome BiFacial..It is ABLSOLUTELY the best eye make up remover! It's refreshing and never irritates. I can't live without it! Oh and Lancome is in gift...so I got a bag and some goodies out of it.
Tomorrow, I get to meet T's new lady. He's ****giggle senseless**** since he met her over a month ago. His b'day is Monday so several friends are having lunch.
Then my friend A is having a choral concert at the local library ---she is singing and her students are performing.
This next week...I have to get to my classroom and move to another room and plie crap upon crap and attempt to get adjusted. SCREAM
I called one of my favorite girls from last year and her phone is disconnected...So I emailed my smartest guy and we'll hope he comes through with muscle power.....
Oh warm and relaxing shower here I come...

But now maybe I am thinking his vacation? I do not know G'ma well enough to ask her stuff, and frankly feel kinds weird about asking her stuff about Grandson...neighborhood stuff ok,

It has been a kinda busy weekend for me. I have accomplished a BUNCH of homework for the class I am taking this summer. Alleluhia!

Last night, Angel and I went to dinner at Red Lobster (anytime cheese and shrimp) are on the menu, I am game. Then we went to see the new Robin Williams movie (love him), " License to Wed" . It was cute. It wasn't as funny as I had hoped..however, it had one the the sweetest most romantic sentiments in it...The couple "failed" his couse if you will, and broke up on the nigt before they were to be married...well she took the tickets for the honeymoon and went way to clear her head. He followed her later...and wrote his wedding vows in the sand outside of her bedroom hotel window. He called her and she found them and him outside her window. It was a "bring you to tears" moment in the movie. After all, I am a hopeless romantic~ (even though, I am so damn cynical on here most of the time.

I haven't seen my boy across the street...he didn't come home last night---for me to be able to put the card on the truck....So that is a uh-oh and question I must ask...With friends? fishing? or with a g-friend????? Hmmmmm. Thoughts?

After the movie, we were going to go to a club, drove downtown..but I just wasn't feeling it. You must understand how difficult it is to have a single friend here and available to go out---god forbid she is female. So, pparently, I was feeling funky. We picked up her convertible and just took the top down and drove for a couple of hours with the wind in our hair and music to our ears.
